Seriously?! Cookies That Burn Fat?

Cookies That Burn Fat

Heal Yourself Cookbook and Diet Guide isn’t your run-of-of-the-mill “healthy” cookbook. Each recipe is based on whole foods, void of all grains and sugar, and is specifically designed to KEEP your body in the “fat-burning zone”. And here I’ll give you one of our tasty recipes from the cookbook, a recipe for cookies that burn fat!

I’ll be the first to admit, MOST healthy dessert recipes taste like cardboard and twigs. I’m sure you can relate.

That’s because normal cookies are loaded with white flour, white sugar, and unhealthy fats. You know…the stuff that tastes good.

But all of that stuff sends your blood sugar on a roller coaster, KILLING your energy and focus and adding excess belly fat. All of this takes you OUT of the fat-burning zone.

But the cookie recipe I’m sharing below is from my new Heal Yourself Cookbook and Diet Guide. It contains none of the bad ingredients listed above. In fact, these are cookies that BURN FAT!

The best thing is that they are sweet, chocolatey, and moist, everything you’d expect from a chocolate chip cookie, except they are 100% gluten and grain-free, and full of anti-oxidants and protein.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s in our cookies…

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Serves: 24 cookies

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

The taste of fall shines in this recipe. Take pumpkin, pair it with dark chocolate, and you have one irresistible cookie.

2 cups almond flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup Lily’s Dark Chocolate Chips
¼ cup xylitol
1/3 cup coconut oil, slightly melted
1 Tablespoon pure van
illa extract
1 pastured egg
1/3 cup pumpkin puree

Preheat oven to 350º F.

In a mixer, combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips. Mix on low speed until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips with a spatula.

Spoon onto cookie sheets lined with unbleached parchment paper. Drop them in about 1 tablespoon measures about 2 inches apart (a mini ice cream scoop works great). Then, slightly flattened the cookies with the back side of a spoon.

Bake 8-9 minutes. After removing them from the oven, gently transferred the cookies to the cooling rack by sliding the parchment paper right off the cookie sheet onto the cooling rack.
