When is comes to trying to shed those unwanted pounds, it’s always hard to get the last few off. To lose weight, we obviously want to be exercising and eating a proper diet. However, it’s also pretty helpful to throw in a few fat burning foods and drinks.
Fat burning foods for women are the same as the fat burning foods men. Luckily, we are all human here and the same principles apply here regardless of your sex. The fat burning foods pretty much do the same thing for us across the board. They raise our metabolism, burn calories, ultimately burning off that unwanted fat.
Foods that burn fat include grapefruit, foods that contain CLA (think butter), coffee, Matcha tea, and also whey protein. These foods help burn fat as they up your metabolism allowing you to burn more calories every single day. For instance, people who drink coffee burn 100 more calories a day than those who don’t. This why why foods that burn calories are so powerful.
Foods that burn belly fat fast are, of course, great but we have to remember that consuming foods that burn fat is only one part of the equation.
We can’t solely eat our way to weight loss. Identifying calorie intake and quality of foods you are consuming, combined with exercise, is very important.

In this video, we’re talking about fat burning foods. You know fat burning foods are really cool because you can easily just implement them right in your daily life and you know it’s easy to do and you’re going to get some great benefits, especially in the way of weight loss. And so, what we’ll do is talk about a couple of my favorite fat burning foods and we’ll also talk about some of the different beverages you can add in that are also going to help you burn fat.
Now, first on our list here is grapefruit. Grapefruit basically has enzymes in it which are shown to increase your metabolism. So, if you want to throw a grapefruit in into your daily routine increase your metabolism burn a few more calories it’s going to help with some fat loss.
Next on our list is whey protein. Whey protein is powerful for a couple reasons. First of all, people who consume whey protein, it’s found to just suppress their appetite. So, they’re just not finding themselves as hungry, so, the fewer calories but also it is shown to be fat burning as well. So, whey protein is powerful for a lot of reasons there. You can just go ahead and have like a protein shake throughout the day and then you’re going to get the benefits that it has to offer.
Next here is CLA that stands for conjugated linoleic acid. Now, you find CLA in like butter, cheese, milk, grass-fed beef, a lot of dairy products, yogurt. And when we look at CLA basically there’s a review of 18 studies that showed that CLA actually helps burn fat and also increase the metabolism. So, when we have CLA it’s going to really help with those weight loss goals. Now, the other thing I want to mention here is if you have yogurt it has the probiotics which is good for the gut and the CLA as well, that’s a powerful combination.
Next on our list is eggs. Now eggs are considered to be a really great food, you know it has a balanced profile fats, carbohydrates, and protein in it. When we look at eggs there’s a study that was done and basically what they found is that people who ate carbie breakfasts were eating a lot more calories throughout the day. So, what they did is they had people start consuming three eggs per day. And when they consume those three eggs per day, they actually throughout the day ate 400 fewer calories. You start with a healthy breakfast in the morning with eggs, essentially you know your body’s getting the nutrients it needs, it’s getting a balanced profile of the protein, carbs, and fats and therefore you’re not as hungry as well. And so, they didn’t have all these cravings and they were consuming 400 calories fewer per day that is HUGE.
Now, some other foods are olive oil, coconut oil, and MCT oil. These are all very satiating foods that help you eat fewer calories and also help you burn that fat. MCT oil specifically you could mix that with your coffee, and you have a pretty powerful fat-burning combination there.
Now, we’re also going to talk about a few beverages here. Let’s go ahead and talk about some of my favorite for burning fat.
First is the Matcha Tea. Now, I’m not talking about Matcha Tea like many of these different coffee shops offer, where they put 30 grams of sugar in it. That’s not going to help you burn fat. But if you make some good quality Matcha Tea, essentially, it’s loaded with an antioxidant called the catechin. And as a result of consuming of that Matcha Tea, it’s going to increase your metabolism and help you burn that fat, very powerful there. And there’s, you know, a big craze around Matcha Tea and that’s the reason for it.
Now when we look at the coffee, now coffee itself isn’t that fat-burning, but there’s caffeine in coffee. And caffeine is shown to be fat burning. So basically, what you can do is you can drink a coffee and it’s been shown to actually boost your metabolism between 3 and 13 percent on a regular basis. So, that’s pretty powerful there because the caffeine within it really boosts your metabolism. And as a matter of fact, if you actually have a little coffee or caffeine right before a workout, essentially, it’s going to help push you a little bit harder in that workout and you’ll burn more calories as well. So, that’s why like a pre-workout, for instance, it’s very powerful. And so, go ahead and check out coffee if you want to boost your metabolism.
Next here apple cider vinegar. Now when we look at apple cider vinegar, many people are familiar with it. You know it helps boost your metabolism, it helps keep your blood sugar low, helps keep insulin levels low, it balances your pH, it offers a lot of fat-burning benefits. And we look at apple cider vinegar you can take a shot of it before a meal, you can mix up some different drinks. I’ll go ahead and list some of my apple cider vinegar videos down here below.
And then lastly, Oolong Tea. Oolong Tea is really great because not only does it have the caffeine that the coffee has but it also has the catechins that the Matcha Tea has. And essentially it offers you twice the benefit because it’s actually scientifically proven to be twice as beneficial in fat burning than the Matcha Tea. Now, when we look at people who drank Oolong Tea, they were burning on average 100 to more calories per day. So, that’s pretty powerful.
