Hi, my name is Ashleigh from NuVisionExcel.com, and today I’m going to teach you six apple cider vinegar beauty tips.
As you may know, apple cider vinegar has a lot of health benefits, and a lot of people are drinking it to get those benefits (recipe here). But you can also use it externally for some really awesome beauty hacks. To get the best results, make sure that you’re using raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. I like to use the Bragg’s brand.
Tip number one; use apple cider vinegar as a skin toner. Apple cider vinegar helps to keep your skin clear. It’s really great for people who have oily skin. It’s rich in alpha hydraulic acids, which helps to get the blood to rise to the skin and reduce your pore size. Simply mix one part apple cider vinegar and one part water into a bottle, and apply this to a cotton ball and massage it into your skin. If you have sensitive skin, reduce this mixture to one-part apple cider vinegar to two parts water.
Tip number two; use apple cider vinegar to prevent acne and pimples. Apple cider vinegar is really great at killing bacteria and cleaning your pores and balancing pH, all which is great at preventing breakouts. Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar with bentonite clay in a bowl, and apply this mixture to your face. Leave on for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, depending on how sensitive your skin is, and then rinse with warm water.
Tip number three; use apple cider vinegar to eliminate dandruff. Apple cider vinegar has the ability to kill fungus and germs while balancing your scalp’s pH, all of which is great at eliminating dandruff. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and water, and add 10 to 15 drops of tea tree oil. Mix this together in a spray bottle and spray it all over your scalp. Massage this into your scalp for about five minutes and leave on for an additional five minutes. And then rinse and shampoo as usual.
Tip number four; use it for insect bites. You can apply that same skin toner mixture right to your insect bites to help eliminate that itch and help it to heal faster.
Tip number five; get rid of those smelly feet. Apple cider vinegar’s antimicrobial properties help to kill those smelly germs and bacteria. Make a foot soak with one cup apple cider vinegar and four cups of warm water. Soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash thoroughly.
And tip number 6; use apple cider vinegar to help brighten your nails. Whether you have stained nails from working with chemicals or from a poor diet, you can help brighten those nails with apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is rich in malic and acetic acids, which both help with a discoloration of your nails. To make your nail soak, use 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 cup of water, and soak your nails for 20 to 30 minutes. Then rinse your hands, massage a little bit of olive oil into your nail bed, and use this remedy two times a day until your nails are nice and bright.
