Thanksgiving is upon us and I want to give you 5 tips for a Healthy Thanksgiving.
A healthy thanksgiving that is enjoyable doesn’t mean giving up your favorites, but rather making small lateral movements towards better choices.
Cut down on the sugar and make better choices so that your body will thank you the days following Thanksgiving.
I personally love thanksgiving. I love family, friends, and so many of the delicious foods I grew up with on Thanksgiving day. My wife and I have modified Thanksgiving again and again over the years simply because we want to enjoy all the foods we love, but not sacrifice all the hard effort we put into staying fit, healthy and happy.
For example, instead of a sugar filled punch, we make a punch with stevia sodas, fruit juice and sparkling water. Yes it will still have sugar from fruit juice, but a significant amount less sugar by making that small change.
Instead of conventional turkey, we buy free range. It is not the high cost of a organic turkey, but it is still incredible quality without all the hormones, antibiotics and pesticides.
